If you know a thing about design, you’d know Dribbble is one of the last stops for designer glory (aside from nailing a full-time agency/studio job). The web-based community known for its basketball lingo and amazingly skilled members has an invite-only system that only allows the best designers in. In a world that emphasizes a “its-who-you-know” mentality, sometimes it can be a little daunting to get into even the smallest designer communities. With that said, I am happy to announce my arrival to the Dribble community. I have the great privilege to contribute to an already great community in hopes to take my skills to the next level once again.
Why is Dribbble so important? There are a couple of reasons but I will provide two. One of the main reasons is that the site provides a great place for general critiquing of work. Designers typically provide honest, smart, constructive criticism to “shots” that need them. This is essential to learn and improve the trade. Secondly, Dribbble is a great place to get recognized and potentially hired for short or long term projects. I know plenty of people that get most of their work through Dribbble and its a personal hope that I have for my own freelancing “job”.
So what’s the future of this site, natedunn.net? The collections on this site will remain online as a display of finished and published products. Essentially everything on the site will be “front page” material while Dribbble content can be pretty much anything I want to show off, finished or not, published or not. So, with that said, I would be sure to follow my Dribbble account to keep up with most of my work, if you feel so inclined to.
Thank you for your support and I am excited for what the future will bring.
P.S. Bounce on over to my Dribbble page here.

Over the next few months I have the privilege of working with my favorite type of clients: close friends. After years of knowing Josiah Smiley and Nicole Mitchell, I am beyond excited for their recent engagement and honored to be their designer at hand. In the months to come you shall hear more about this as things start to roll out. Let’s just say that I am stoked and you should be too.

My friend Brian Sun needs a new font identity to go with his name and website. Sometimes typography is everything, and simplicity wins.
